CALL TO WORSHIP: (Responsive) We come to you, O God, in thanksgiving for the gift of your Son, Jesus Christ, who is the bread of life. Give us this day our daily bread!

We come to you, O God, in thanksgiving for the gift of this land, a land whose harvest feeds us and could feed the world.  Give us this day our daily bread! 

We come to you, O God, in thanksgiving for the gift of faith, thanksgiving for our lives and loves and for your invitation to join together this day. Give us this day our daily bread.

A PRAYER FOR RENEWAL (Unison) Loving Creator God, how rich and beautiful is your world! We confess that often we forget to give you thanks, acting as though what we have is of our own achievement. We consume the fruits of creation, forgetting that you call us to bear fruit ourselves.  We often do not share with others the way you intended. We treat your generosity as our right and it possessively to ourselves. Sometimes we are so blinded by our difficulties that we can see no reason to give you thanks. Forgive us, O God. Help us to trust you enough, that we will stop worrying and will share freely with others in confidence that your grace will never run out, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.   (Time of Contemplative Silence)

WORDS OF ASSURANCE: Our Creator is a forgiving God, who seeks our good and wishes to journey with us. From the four directions the Creator fills us with the virtues of inner strength, generosity, respect, and wisdom.
